Account Deletion

Delete your FoilVault account

Last updated: 2026-10-15.

This page applies to the FoilVault apps for Android and iOS, published by Felipe Florencio Garcia. You can delete your FoilVault account records at any time, and you do not need to give a reason.

How to delete your account

In the app:

  1. Open Settings, then Account management.
  2. Confirm it is you, type DELETE, and tap Delete account.

You are signed out on every device straight away, and the account can no longer be used. If you no longer have the app, use the support form instead, with the subject Account and data deletion and the email address on your account.

If you have Premium, cancel it in the store as well. Deleting your FoilVault account does not cancel a subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play, and the store keeps renewing and charging it until you cancel it there. Our privacy policy explains how, under "Premium subscriptions".

When it is deleted

Your account is kept for 7 days after you ask, in case the request was a mistake or was not yours. During those 7 days you can ask us to restore it through the support form. After 7 days it is deleted permanently and automatically, and it cannot be restored.

What gets deleted

All of the following are deleted permanently and cannot be restored afterwards:

  • Your account: your email address, your display name, and your password hash.
  • Your collection: every card you have added, with its quantities, conditions, variants, languages and purchase details.
  • Your folders and everything in them.
  • Your scan records: the text read from each card you scanned, the match the app decided on, and the images of the scanned frame.
  • Your linked Apple and Google sign-ins, your sessions, and any pending email or password change.
  • Your app preferences and any sync state held on our server.
  • Your price alerts, the record of each time they were triggered, and their notification deliveries.
  • Your devices' registrations for price alert notifications, including their notification addresses.
  • The record of scans counted against the Free plan's monthly allowance.

What we keep, and for how long

These records survive deletion of your FoilVault account:

  • Older scan records. Scan records made before 20 September 2026 were not stored against an account, so they cannot be tied to you or to any account and are not deleted. They hold the text read from the card, the match, and the scanned frame, and nothing about who scanned it.
  • Security records of sign-ins and account changes, with your email and every link to your account removed, and a note that an account was deleted on that date.
  • Subscription purchase records. The records of Premium purchases made through the App Store or Google Play stay attached to a random billing identifier, which is no longer linked to your email address or to any account. We keep them so that a store purchase can never give Premium to a second account. Apple and Google keep their own records of the purchase.
  • Server logs, which record request times and error traces. They are overwritten on a rolling basis and are gone within 30 days.
  • The card catalogue itself - card names, images, set data and prices. That is public trading card data. It was never yours and contains nothing about you.
  • Firebase crash and usage records. Google processes these using separate installation and session identifiers. Deleting your FoilVault account does not automatically delete these provider records. See our privacy policy for the collection choices and links to Firebase's and Google's handling and retention information.

Data held on your own phone is separate. Uninstalling the app removes the local copy of your collection from that device.

Deleting some data without deleting your account

If you would rather keep your account, you can ask us to delete only your scan records, or only your collection, using the same support form. Say which of the two you mean.

Questions

Anything unclear, ask through the support form and a person will answer. See also our privacy policy for what we collect while your account is open.
